I'm afraid my good old friend Emmy Lou (Cheynat's Emerald Emmy) has taken her last walk in the woods.
Thank you for gracing our lives. Thank you for your exuberance when we walked
in the door or when chasing balls or squirrels (or sheep). Thank you for loving
so completely and without condition. Thank you for all the laughs and smiles
you evoked. Thank you for being tough and brave and docile and gentle and strong
and true. Thank you for your sad eyes and warm heart, your acceptance and patience,
your wanting to be a part of everything. Thank you for being part of the glue
that holds so many of us together. Thank you for being a gem and a cornerstone
and a sweet sweet simple song.
